More UK agencies are keeping programmes closer to home, and Scotland keeps coming up. The venues are easy enough to find. What agencies tell us they are missing is someone on the ground who knows how a Scottish programme actually runs once the group lands. So we are taking a small group of agency planners up to see it for themselves.
Over three days you will see Edinburgh through a planner’s eyes, spend a full day on a private country estate just south of the city, and finish with dinner at one of Scotland’s great stately homes. Every part of it is something you could put in front of a client.
The three days
Friday 13 November: arrivals and Edinburgh
- Morning flight from London Heathrow into Edinburgh
- An afternoon between the medieval Old Town and the Georgian New Town, the two halves of the city every incentive group wants to see
- Welcome orientation and dinner on the estate
Saturday 14 November: the estate
- A proper Scottish breakfast
- A day of local experiences across the estate, built around its heritage, landscape and character
- An evening immersive dinner at a historic stately home outside Edinburgh
Sunday 15 November: departures
- Breakfast, then a morning flight back to Heathrow
